Looking at getting a newer version of this mower, one thing though, you gotta mow in different directions man, I can see you mowed the lawn in the same direction last time.

I ended up getting the 217vka. Wondering if I should have sprung the extra $100 for the hya or $250 for the electric start version

I would definately get another HRX.

If you were going to buy a mower now what would it be?
I am debating on the Toro 20332 or Honda HRX217HYA AND VKA
Deciding if they are worth the extra money for my use because I just bought a new house but my yard isnt too big but not the smallest in the world either.

I put the Honda oil in it from when it was unboxed, but after that I was using Mobil1. Last summer I decided to switch back to the Honda oil. I believe it’s a synthetic blend, not full synthetic from what I’ve read online. Hard to find though!

Did you go with synthetic oil from the original purchase time? thanks..

Thanks

vtec just kicked in yo?

Yep this is the same model I got. I just write down the operating hours at the end of each season in a record book in case the unit quit working I would be able to keep track of the cumulative hours after I replaced the unit. I think the battery in this thing is supposed to last like 10 years or something, I forget.

What kind of timer is that? Is it the kind where the wire wraps around the sprak plug wire like the “SenDEC 806-100-0222″ that costs around $40.00?
I have the same mower and love it. Looking to buy a timer and the RPM sensor would be cool to have also. thanks for helping!

Sure thing – I will have to wait till spring though, we just got snow this weekend

can u do a trimming video of that trimmer?
loading...
its not a 2 stroke trimmer thats why
loading...
Probably sounds different because it’s a 4 stroke engine, and a Honda. Seperate oil and gas in this one, and Honda is known for quiet power equipment engines.

Why does that trimmer sound so different?

Cool Mower. I had an older model that didn’t quite have all the bells and whistles. But it would start on the first pull too. A great mower for sure!
